QUICK LINKS

Fluorescence indicator green, also known as Zinc silicate, shows green fluorescence when illuminated with UV light (254 nm). It is used as a pigment in the production of paints, varnishes, and coatings, as a filler in rubber, and as an adhesive in electronics. It is also in the manufacture of optical glass, ceramics, and other refractory materials. It acts as a catalyst in organic synthesis and as a precursor for the synthesis of other inorganic compounds. Fluorescence indicator green can be used as an adsorbent in the purification of water and as a photocatalyst for the degradation of organic pollutants.
