FLJ23356 Antibody (S-23) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the FLJ23356 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FLJ23356 antibody (S-23) is available as the non-conjugated form. FLJ23356 protein, also known as Sugen kinase 196, SGK196, or protein kinase-like protein SgK196, is a 350 amino acid protein that belongs to the Serine/Threonine protein kinase family. Notably, FLJ23356 is characterized by its unique structure, which includes a kinase domain that is believed to be catalytically inactive. This structural feature suggests that FLJ23356 may play a regulatory role rather than a direct catalytic one in cellular signaling pathways. A glycine-to-serine substitution motif at subdomain VII of FLJ23356′s catalytic domain indicates potential functional implications, possibly affecting protein interactions or signaling cascade modulation. Serine/Threonine kinases are crucial for various cellular processes, including division, proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis, making FLJ23356 particularly important for understanding these fundamental biological functions.
