Flavianic acid, a conjugated version of Flavianate, is known for it′s role as a histological dye. It is a member of naphthols and has a chemical structure of naphthalene-2-sulfonic acid with three additional substitutions, two nitro groups at positions 5 and 7 and one hydroxy group at position 8.
