Fibroblast Marker Antibody (ER-TR7) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects Fibroblast Marker in mouse, rat, and human samples by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). Fibroblast Marker (ER-TR7) antibody is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Fibroblasts play a crucial role in synthesizing and maintaining the extracellular matrix, which is essential for tissue integrity and repair. These cells produce key components such as collagens, glycosaminoglycans, and glycoproteins, which provide structural support and facilitate wound healing. The dynamic nature of fibroblasts allows adaptation to various tissue environments, and their proliferative capacity makes them valuable models in biological research. Additionally, the expression of intermediate filament proteins like Vimentin serves as a marker for identifying fibroblasts and understanding their mesodermal origin. Fibroblast Marker (ER-TR7) monoclonal antibody advances research on fibroblast biology, enabling scientists to explore diverse functions and interactions within the extracellular matrix.

Can I use this antibody for sorting of fibroblasts from mesenchymal stem cells ?

Thank you for your question. This antibody is recommended for Flow cytometry, so sorting using a flow cytometer is fine. It has not been tested for any other sorting method.

Has this antibody been tested for cross-reactivity?

Graft seemed to survive but we saw no convincing signal using this antibody at 1:100. Tissue was paraformaldehyde fixed and processed free floating with Alexa Fluor secondary antibody.
