Fibrinogen γ Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Fibrinogen gamma protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Fibrinogen γ (D-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Fibrinogen gamma protein plays a crucial role in the coagulation process, as one of three subunits that make up plasma glycoprotein Fibrinogen, synthesized in the liver. Fibrinogen gamma protein is vital for platelet aggregation and Fibrin formation, the primary component of blood clots, essential for hemostasis following tissue injury. Fibrinogen gamma chain influences the structural integrity of Fibrin network, thereby affecting clot stability and wound healing. Additionally, Fibrinogen cleavage products, generated during coagulation cascade, have significant biological activities, including promoting cell adhesion and migration, which are critical for tissue repair and regeneration. Anti-Fibrinogen gamma antibody (D-6) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying coagulation, inflammation, and related pathologies, providing insights into hemostasis mechanisms and Fibrinogen′s role in various physiological and pathological processes.

I am using Fibrinogen γ (D-6): sc-133226 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: TinTin
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
