SEE ALSO...

FGF-1 Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects FGF-1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FGF-1 (B-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Fibroblast growth factor-1 (FGF-1), also known as acidic FGF, plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival, particularly in mesenchymal, epithelial, and neuroectodermal cells. FGF-1 promotes angiogenesis and tissue repair, making this protein a significant factor in wound healing and developmental processes. FGF-1 interacts with specific proteins such as heparin and fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFRs), which are essential for mediating biological effects. FGFR interaction triggers downstream signaling pathways that influence cellular responses, highlighting FGF-1′s relevance in both normal physiology and pathological conditions.

I am using FGF-1 (B-3): sc-55520 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Très peu sensibleAnticorps testé sur des extraits de cellules surexprimant le FGF1. La surexpression avait déjà été validée en utilisant un anticorps d'un autre fournisseur. Avec cet anticorps, une bande de très faible intensité est détectée à partir de 25 µg d'extraits après 20 minutes d'exposition.
