FCV Antibody (S1-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects the FCV protein of FCV origin by immunofluorescence (IF) and immunohistochemistry. Anti-FCV antibody (S1-9) is available as a non-conjugated format, making FCV (S1-9) antibody a versatile tool for researchers studying feline calicivirus (FCV), a member of the Caliciviridae family known for causing respiratory infections in cats. FCV is an RNA virus that exhibits varying degrees of virulence, with a particularly aggressive strain known as virulent systemic feline calicivirus (VS-FCV) or FCV-associated virulent systemic disease (VSD). VS-FCV is notable for invading the epithelium and endothelium of the host, leading to severe acute symptoms such as fever, conjunctivitis, nasal discharge, sneezing, oral ulceration, and polyarthritis.
