FBXO6 Antibody (7B11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects FBXO6 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FBXO6 antibody (7B11) is available as a non-conjugated format. FBXO6, also known as FBG2 or FBX6, plays a crucial role in the ubiquitin-proteasome system, which is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis by regulating protein degradation. FBXO6 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where FBXO6 functions as a substrate recognition component of the SCF-type E3 ubiquitin ligase complex. FBXO6 binds to specific substrates, allowing targeted degradation of proteins that are damaged or in excess, thereby preventing accumulation of potentially harmful proteins that could disrupt cellular functions. A 40 amino acid binding motif in FBXO6′s structure is vital for interaction with Skp1 and E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme, ensuring efficient ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins. High expression levels of FBXO6 have been observed in various human tissues, including brain, skeletal muscle, spleen, liver, and testis, highlighting FBXO6′s importance in diverse biological processes.
