FBXO42 Antibody (FL-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects FBXO42 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FBXO42 antibody (FL-6) is available as the non-conjugated form. FBXO42, also known as F-box only protein 42, is a 717 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of four Kelch repeats and one N-terminal F-box domain, classifying FBXO42 within the F-box family of proteins. F-box proteins play a pivotal role in the SCF (Skp1-CUL-1-F-box protein) type E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, which is essential for substrate recognition and recruitment for ubiquitination. FBXO42 regulates various cellular processes, including cell cycle, immune response, and signaling pathways, by targeting specific proteins for degradation via the proteasome after ubiquitination. FBXO42 interacts directly with Skp1 p19 and CUL-1, facilitating FBXO42′s function in the ubiquitin-proteasome system.
