FBL10 Antibody (5G1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects the FBL10 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FBL10 antibody (5G1) is available as the non-conjugated format. FBXL10, also known as Fbl10, CXXC2, PCCX2, KDM2B, JEMMA, or JHDM1B, is a nuclear protein characterized by its unique structure, which includes one F-box domain, a CXXC-type zinc finger, one JMJC domain, four leucine-rich repeats, and one PHD-type zinc finger. This intricate structure is crucial as FBXL10 functions effectively as a component of the SCF (Skp1-CUL-1-F-box protein) type E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, facilitating substrate recognition and recruitment for ubiquitination. Additionally, FBXL10′s role as a dimethylation-specific demethylase, where FBXL10 binds iron as a cofactor to demethylate lysine-36 of Histone H3, underscores its importance in regulating the histone code, which is vital for gene expression and chromatin dynamics. FBL10 (5G1) antibody accurately detects this multifaceted protein, making FBL10 (5G1) monoclonal antibody an essential tool for researchers studying epigenetic regulation and cellular processes in human samples.

Can sc-293279: FBL10 (5G1) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-293279: FBL10 (5G1) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
