    SEE ALSO...

FARSLB Antibody (J-02) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects FARSLB protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FARSLB antibody (J-02) is available as the non-conjugated format. FARSLB, also known as Phenylalanine--tRNA ligase beta chain, FARSB, FRSB, or PheHB, is a crucial 589 amino acid cytoplasmic protein that serves as the regulatory beta subunit of phenylalanine-tRNA synthetase. FARSLB plays a vital role in protein synthesis by catalyzing the attachment of L-phenylalanine to corresponding tRNA, a process essential for accurate translation of genetic information into functional proteins. The enzymatic activity of FARSLB is ATP-dependent, resulting in the formation of an L-phenylalanine-tagged tRNA and release of AMP and diphosphate. FARSLB is predominantly expressed in various tissues, including brain, heart, kidney, pancreas, placenta, and skeletal muscle, with expression levels notably elevated in malignant cell lines, indicating potential involvement in carcinogenesis. FARSLB′s interaction with specific proteins involved in the tRNA synthetase complex further underscores importance in cellular function and regulation, making FARSLB monoclonal antibody (J-02) an invaluable tool for researchers studying protein synthesis and disease implications.

Can sc-100985: FARSLB (J-02) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-100985: FARSLB (J-02) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
