    SEE ALSO...

FAM65B Antibody (3J7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects FAM65B protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FAM65B antibody (3J7) is available as the non-conjugated format. FAM65B, also known as C6orf32, DIFF28, or PL48, is a 1,068 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular differentiation and cytoskeletal dynamics. FAM65B exists as two alternatively spliced isoforms, with isoform 1 predominantly found in the brain and isoform 2 expressed in fetal primary myoblasts during differentiation. Isoform 2 is involved in filopodia formation and cytoskeletal rearrangement, which are essential processes for myotube formation. Cells lacking isoform 2 exhibit a marked reduction in myotube formation, while overexpression can induce filopodial formation, highlighting FAM65B′s importance in muscle development and regeneration. FAM65B is located on human chromosome 6, a region associated with various genetic disorders, including early onset intestinal cancer and other conditions such as Porphyria cutanea tarda and Parkinson′s disease. This connection underscores FAM65B′s potential implications in both normal cellular functions and disease states, making FAM65B monoclonal antibody (3J7) a valuable tool for researchers studying muscle differentiation and related pathologies.
