    SEE ALSO...

FAF1 Antibody (92-B) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects FAF1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FAF1, or FAS-associated protein factor-1, plays a crucial role in the regulation of apoptosis, particularly in FAS signaling. FAF1 interacts with the cytoplasmic tail of wild type FAS, enhancing the efficiency of FAS-mediated apoptosis, which is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and eliminating damaged or unwanted cells. Unlike other FAS-interacting proteins such as TRADD and FADD, FAF1 does not possess a death domain homologous region and cannot independently induce apoptosis without FAS activation. This unique characteristic highlights FAF1′s importance in the apoptotic pathway, as FAF1 serves as a facilitator rather than an initiator, making FAF1 a significant target for studies related to apoptosis and cancer research. Anti-FAF1 antibody (92-B) is an essential tool for researchers investigating the mechanisms of cell death and the intricate signaling pathways involved in apoptosis.

I am using FAF1 (92-B): sc-101255 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

    Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
