Exo70 Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Exo70 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Exo70 antibody (D-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Exo70, also known as EXOC7, is a critical component of the exocyst complex, which is essential for the proper targeting of exocytic vesicles to specific docking sites on the plasma membrane. This complex plays a vital role in exocytosis, a process crucial for membrane trafficking, hormone and neurotransmitter secretion, and the incorporation of membrane proteins and lipids into the plasma membrane. Exo70′s localization to both the cytoplasm and cell membrane facilitates vesicle docking, particularly in response to insulin signaling, thereby influencing cell-cell communication, growth, and polarity. Exo70 consists of 735 amino acids and undergoes alternative splicing, resulting in four distinct isoforms, which may have unique regulatory roles in cellular processes.
