Etofenprox, a non-ester pyrethroid insecticide, effectively controls a wide range of agricultural pests. It demonstrates high toxicity to specific insects such as houseflies, green leafhoppers, brown planthoppers, and white-backed planthopper nymphs. Etofenprox is a synthetic ether pyrethroid insecticide, ideal for managing insects resistant to organophosphorus and carbamate insecticides. It is composed of the aromatic ether 3-phenoxybenzyl ether of 2-(4-ethoxyphenyl)-2-methylpropan-1-ol, derived from a 2-(4-ethoxyphenyl)-2-methylpropan-1-ol.
