ERI-1 Antibody (B-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ERI-1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ERI-1 (B-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ERI-1, also known as Protein 3′hExo, plays a crucial role in RNA interference regulation by degrading histone mRNA after replication, which is essential for maintaining proper gene expression levels. ERI-1 exhibits a high affinity for the stem-loop structure of replication-dependent histone pre-mRNAs, requiring the specific 5′-ACCCA-3′ sequence found within this structure. The interaction between ERI-1 and a stem-loop binding protein (SLBP) is vital, as they target opposite faces of a highly conserved stem-loop RNA scaffold, facilitating the degradation process at the 3′ end of histone mRNA. Understanding ERI-1′s function in RNA regulation provides insights into gene expression control mechanisms and their potential implications for various biological processes and diseases.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-137089 X be used instead of the standard form sc-137089?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.
