QUICK LINKS

Eptaplatin is a platinum-based coordination compound with anticancer activity against various cancer cell lines, including cisplatin-resistant cancer cell lines. Like other platinum-based anticancer compounds, such as cisplatin and carboplatin, Eptaplatin exerts its antitumor effects by forming DNA adducts, which interfere with DNA replication and transcription, leading to cell death. By damaging the DNA, Eptaplatin prevents cancer cells from proliferating and spreading. Some expose cancer cell lines to various concentrations of Eptaplatin to assess its cytotoxic effects and measure cell viability.
