ENX-1 Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects ENX-1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ENX-1 (D-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ENX-1, also known as Enhancer Of Zeste 2, plays a crucial role in gene expression regulation during embryonic development, particularly within Polycomb group (PcG) proteins, which maintain homeotic gene repression. ENX-1 expression occurs ubiquitously during early embryogenesis but becomes restricted to specific tissues, including central and peripheral nervous systems and fetal hematopoiesis sites as development progresses. Adult ENX-1 expression localizes to spleen, testis, and placenta. Human ENX-1 encodes a 746 amino acid polypeptide featuring a trithorax-like domain and DNA-binding motif, enabling interactions with various proteins, including proto-oncogene product Vav, implicated in normal and malignant hematopoietic cell proliferation. Through target gene expression influence, ENX-1 may contribute to Down syndrome phenotypic characteristics, highlighting developmental and disease significance.
