Ent-8-iso-15(S)-Prostaglandin F2α is a biologically active isoprostane produced by the non-enzymatic free radical catalyzed peroxidation of arachidonic acid (sc-200770). This compound has demonstrated potent vasoconstriction activity in porcine retinal and brain microvessels. Research has suggested that measurement of ent-8-iso-15(S)-Prostaglandin F2α concentration could be used as a non-invasive indicator of oxidative stress, and that this compound may act in vivo as a signaling molecule of oxidative stress.
