QUICK LINKS

Endothall is a small molecule inhibitor of PP2A (protein phosphatase), used as a defoliant and a known toxin to animals. Endothall shows intermediate inhibition of PP2A (IC50=970 nM), displaying near 50% inhibition of phosphatase activity. The 2,3-dimethyl analogs of Endothall, such as Cantharidin (2,3-dimethyl anhydride analog, sc-201321), approach full inhibition of the phosphatase.
