Enalapril Maleate is an effective and potent nonsulfhydryl ACE(angiotenson-converting enzyme) inhibitor. The compound has been used to study diabetic angiopathy in diabetic rats and inhibition of ACE in hog plasma. ACE inhibitors disturb the enin-angiotensin- aldosterone system. Additional ACE inhibitors include: Enalapril (sc-205664), Enalaprilat dihydrate (sc-205668), Enalaprilat (sc-205669), and Enalapril-d5 Maleate Salt (sc-218304), among others.
