eIF4AII Antibody (H-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects eIF4AII in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-eIF4AII antibody (H-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. eIF4AII plays a crucial role in translation initiation, which is essential for protein synthesis in eukaryotic cells. eIF4AII functions as a component of the eIF4F complex, which binds to the 5′ cap of mRNA and facilitates the recruitment of the ribosomal preinitiation complex, ensuring efficient translation. eIF4AII helps unwind mRNA secondary structures, allowing ribosomes to access the mRNA and initiate translation. eIF4AII also interacts with other key proteins in the translation initiation process, including eIF4E and eIF4G, which are critical for the assembly of the translation machinery.
