    SEE ALSO...

EF-CAB1 Antibody (B-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects EF-CAB1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-EF-CAB1 antibody (B-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. EF-CAB1, which stands for EF-hand calcium-binding domain-containing peptide protein 1, is encoded by a gene located on chromosome 8′s long arm and produces a 211 amino acid protein with three EF-hand domains. These helix-loop-helix structures are essential for calcium binding, a crucial process in numerous cellular functions, including muscle contraction, neurotransmitter release, and cell signaling pathways. EF-CAB1′s calcium-binding capability suggests a potential role in modulating these processes, making EF-CAB1 valuable for understanding calcium signaling in various physiological and pathological contexts. Chromosome 8, where EF-CAB1 resides, is involved in several genetic disorders and cancers, highlighting EF-CAB1′s significance in disease mechanisms.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-515554 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
