    SEE ALSO...

EEPD1 Antibody (B-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects EEPD1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-EEPD1 antibody (B-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. EEPD1, also known as endonuclease/exonuclease/phosphatase family domain containing 1 or HSPC107, is a 569 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of one helix-hairpin-helix (HhH) domain, which is crucial for DNA binding and repair. EEPD1′s function is particularly important in maintaining genomic stability, a vital process for preventing mutations that can lead to various diseases, including cancer. EEPD1 expression is significantly affected by environmental stressors; for instance, long-term heat stress exposure leads to a marked decrease in transcriptional levels, while EEPD1 is up-regulated during bovine adipogenic processes associated with intramuscular preadipocyte differentiation. Encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 7p14.2, EEPD1 plays a pivotal role in cellular responses to DNA damage, and chromosome 7 itself is known to harbor genes linked to several genetic disorders, including osteogenesis imperfecta and Pendred syndrome.

What blocking solution should I use with EEPD1 (B-5): sc-398019 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

    Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
