EEPD1 Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects EEPD1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). EEPD1 (A-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. EEPD1, also known as endonuclease/exonuclease/phosphatase family domain containing 1 or HSPC107, is a 569 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of one HhH domain, which is crucial for its function in DNA binding and repair. EEPD1 plays a vital role in maintaining genomic stability through DNA damage repair, helping prevent mutations that can lead to various diseases, including cancer. EEPD1 expression significantly changes with environmental stressors, such as long-term heat exposure, which can decrease transcriptional levels, while showing increased activity during bovine adipogenic processes associated with intramuscular preadipocyte differentiation. Located on human chromosome 7p14.2, EEPD1 contributes to critical cellular processes, and functional abnormalities can be linked to various genetic disorders associated with chromosome 7, which contains over 1,000 genes and is implicated in conditions such as osteogenesis imperfecta and Pendred syndrome.
