EDDHA (Ethylenediaminedihydroxyphenylacetic acid) is an organic compound that acts as a chelating agent. It binds to metals and minerals, forming a complex that is more soluble than the metal or mineral alone. This allows for the uptake of the metal or mineral by plants and other organisms. EDDHA also binds to organic molecules, and can be used to study the effects of organic molecules on the uptake of metals and minerals. It increases the uptake of minerals by plants to increase their growth rate and the yield of crops.
