SEE ALSO...

EAP30 Antibody (LN-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects EAP30 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). EAP30, also known as ELL-associated protein of 30 kDa, SNF8, Dot3, or VPS22, is a 258 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the endosomal sorting process as a component of the ESCRT-II complex. This complex is essential for the formation of multivesicular bodies (MVBs), which are vital for the degradation of cellular components and the regulation of protein trafficking. EAP30′s involvement in MVB formation not only facilitates the sorting of endosomal cargo proteins but also contributes to the targeting of proteins to the lysosome for degradation, thereby maintaining cellular homeostasis. Additionally, EAP30 is implicated in the regulation of transcription by repressing the activity of RNA polymerase II, highlighting its dual role in both protein sorting and gene expression regulation. EAP30′s participation in these critical cellular processes underscores its importance in maintaining cellular function and responding to various physiological stimuli.
