    SEE ALSO...

E-Syt1 Antibody (C-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects E-Syt1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). E-Syt1 (C-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. E-Syt1, also known as extended synaptotagmin-like protein 1, plays a significant role in regulating membrane fusion events, particularly in neurotransmitter release. E-Syt1 is primarily located in the endoplasmic reticulum and plasma membrane, where E-Syt1 forms junctions that facilitate communication between these two critical cellular compartments. E-Syt1 presence at these junctions maintains calcium homeostasis and lipid transfer, which are essential for proper cellular signaling and function. E-Syt1 is a 1,104 amino acid protein that exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms and is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 12q13.2. Members of the Extended Synaptotagmins family, including E-Syt1, E-Syt2, and E-Syt3, are highly conserved across species and form heteromeric complexes, underscoring their importance in cellular processes.
