E-Selectin Antibody (CTB202) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects E-Selectin in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and flow cytometry (FCM). E-Selectin, also known as ELAM-1 or CD62E, is a crucial adhesion molecule expressed on the surface of endothelial cells in response to pro-inflammatory cytokines. E-Selectin (CTB202) antibody helps identify this protein′s role in mediating leukocyte adhesion to vascular endothelium during inflammatory responses, which is vital for immune cell recruitment to sites of injury or infection. E-Selectin expression is particularly important in chronic inflammatory diseases, playing a significant role in the pathogenesis of conditions such as atherosclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis. Through facilitating leukocyte-endothelium interactions, E-Selectin contributes to immune response regulation and tissue homeostasis. Anti-E-Selectin antibody (CTB202) serves as an essential tool for researchers studying these processes, providing insights into inflammation mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets.

Can E-Selectin (CTB202): sc-5262 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, E-Selectin (CTB202): sc-5262 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
