E. coli Antibody (404) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects Escherichia coli with species reactivity specific to Escherichia coli by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). E. coli, a Gram-negative, rod-shaped bacterium, plays a crucial role in the human gut microbiome, contributing to digestion and nutrient absorption. However, certain strains of E. coli can lead to serious infections, making the study of E. coli proteins, such as the K99 pilus antigen, essential for understanding pathogenicity. The K99 pilus antigen facilitates the attachment and colonization of E. coli in the small intestine, which is a critical step in the infection process. Anti-E. coli antibody (404) enables effective investigation of E. coli infection mechanisms and exploration of potential therapeutic targets, advancing understanding of bacterial pathogenesis and improving public health outcomes.
