Dyrk4 Antibody (B66) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects Dyrk4 in human samples through western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP) applications. Dyrk4, a member of the dual specificity tyrosine phosphorylation regulated kinase family, plays a crucial role in various cellular functions, particularly in spermatogenesis and neuronal differentiation. Dyrk4 is predominantly located in post-meiotic spermatids, where Dyrk4 is essential for sperm cell maturation. Dyrk4 presence in this specific cellular compartment underscores Dyrk4′s importance in male fertility, although studies have shown that Dyrk4 deficiency does not adversely affect male reproductive capabilities, suggesting potential redundancy within the spermiogenesis pathway. Dyrk4 exists in two isoforms, Dyrk4A and Dyrk4B, which exhibit over 95% sequence homology, indicating a high degree of conservation and possibly overlapping functions. Dyrk4′s ability to interact with other proteins involved in signaling pathways further highlights Dyrk4′s significance in cellular processes, making anti-Dyrk4 antibody (B66) a valuable tool for researchers studying Dyrk4′s role in human biology.

I am using Dyrk4 (B66): sc-130424 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunoprecipitation protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoprecipitation-western-blots
