SEE ALSO...

DUSP27 Antibody (F-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects DUSP27 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-DUSP27 antibody (F-12) is available as the non-conjugated form. DUSP27, also known as dual specificity phosphatase 27 or DUPD1, is a 220 amino acid cytoplasmic protein that plays a crucial role in regulating cellular signaling pathways by dephosphorylating both phosphothreonine and phosphotyrosine residues within mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinases. This regulation helps control various cellular processes, including growth, differentiation, and stress responses. DUSP27 expression is induced by several growth factors and cellular stresses, which allows DUSP27 to negatively regulate members of the MAP kinase superfamily, such as MAPK/ERK, SAPK/JNK, and p38, thereby maintaining cellular homeostasis. DUSP27 is predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle, liver, and adipose tissue, suggesting involvement in energy metabolism and metabolic regulation. The gene encoding DUSP27, referred to as DUPD1, is located on human chromosome 10, which contains over 1,200 genes and represents nearly 4.5% of the human genome, highlighting DUSP27′s importance in various physiological processes.
