Dodine is a white crystalline solid primarily employed as an agricultural fungicide. It is an 1-dodecylguanidine acetate, which is a salt formed by the reaction of equal amounts of 1-dodecylguanidine and acetic acid. It serves as a fungicide for the control of black spot and foliar diseases in various fruits like apples, pears, peaches, nectarines, and strawberries. In addition to its fungicidal properties, it acts as an antibacterial and antifungal agent in the field of agriculture.
