    SEE ALSO...

DNER Antibody (YY-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects DNER protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-DNER antibody (YY-7) is available as a non-conjugated format. DNER protein, or Delta-notch-like EGF-related receptor, plays a critical role in the central nervous system as a neuron-specific, atypical Notch ligand, primarily expressed in dendrites and cell bodies of neurons. Notably, DNER contains ten extracellular EGF-like domains that share significant homology with Notch ligand, Delta, which is essential for mediating neuron-glia interactions during astrocytogenesis. This interaction occurs at contacts between Purkinje cells and Bergmann glia, where DNER directly engages with Notch 1, activating a Deltex-dependent Notch signaling pathway vital for morphogenesis of Bergmann glia. Proper functioning of DNER is crucial for maturation of glial cells, and studies have shown that DNER-knockout mice exhibit severe motor discoordination and impaired cerebellar morphogenesis, underscoring DNER′s importance in neural development and function.
