    SEE ALSO...

DND1 Antibody (X22) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects DND1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). DND1 (X22) antibody is available as the non-conjugated anti-DND1 antibody. DND1 protein, also known as dead end protein homolog 1 or RBMS4 (RNA-binding motif, single-stranded-interacting protein 4), is a crucial 353 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of two RNA recognition motif (RRM) domains. DND1 is specifically expressed in primordial germ cells (PGCs) during embryogenesis, where DND1 localizes to perinuclear germ granules. This localization suggests a role in regulating RNA metabolism and stability within these cells, which is essential for proper germ cell development. While DND1 is not required for PGC migration to the gonads, DND1 is vital for their development, and mutations in DND1 can lead to germ cell loss and increased risk of testicular germ cell tumors, highlighting DND1′s potential involvement in tumorigenesis.

I am using DND1 (X22): sc-130493 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

    Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunoprecipitation protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoprecipitation-western-blots
