SEE ALSO...

DnaJA4 Antibody (LL2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DnaJA4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-DnaJA4 antibody (LL2) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. The DnaJ family, to which DnaJA4 belongs, is one of the largest chaperone families and is characterized by diverse cellular localization and functions, primarily defined by the presence of the J domain. DnaJA4 plays a crucial role in regulating the cholesterol biosynthesis pathway, acting as a SREBP-regulated chaperone. DnaJA4 is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis, particularly in lipid metabolism, as DnaJA4 assists in proper folding and functioning of other proteins involved in cholesterol synthesis. DnaJA4 interaction with HSP 70 enhances ATP hydrolysis, which is vital for chaperone activity in preventing protein aggregation and facilitating protein degradation. DnaJA4 contains cysteine-rich regions that form zinc finger motifs, contributing to peptide binding domain and overall chaperone function. DnaJA4′s ability to mediate these processes underscores importance in cellular stress responses and metabolic regulation, making DnaJA4 a significant target for research in various diseases related to cholesterol metabolism and protein misfolding.

Can sc-100714: DnaJA4 (LL2) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-100714: DnaJA4 (LL2) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
