DMXAA is an apoptosis inducer, and an anti-vascular. DMXAA is an inhibitor of NQO1, Flk-1 and Flt-1. DMXAA demonstrates its efficacy against cancer cells by impeding their growth through the inhibition of specific enzymes that control cell division. Moreover, it curtails the production of certain proteins that facilitate cancer cell growth and metastasis. Besides these effects, vadimezan also exhibits various biochemical and physiological actions, including anti-inflammatory, anti-angiogenic, and anti-tumor properties.
