Dlx-6 Antibody (2D7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Dlx-6 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Dlx-6 antibody (2D7) is available as the non-conjugated form. Dlx-6 protein plays a crucial role in the development of the craniofacial skeleton and is involved in the differentiation of various structures within the teeth. Dlx-6 is part of the Dlx gene family, which consists of six homeobox-containing genes that are highly conserved across species. These genes are expressed in specific patterns during embryonic development, particularly in the craniofacial primordia and the basal telencephalon, influencing critical processes such as patterning, morphogenesis, and histogenesis. Dlx-6 protein is primarily localized in the nucleus, where Dlx-6 functions as a transcriptional activator, thereby regulating gene expression necessary for proper tissue development. Understanding Dlx-6 function is essential, as dysregulation can lead to developmental disorders affecting the craniofacial region and dental structures.
