    SEE ALSO...

Dlx-2 Antibody (WQ6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects Dlx-2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Dlx-2 is a member of the Dlx gene family, which plays a crucial role in the development of the craniofacial skeleton and the differentiation of dental structures. Dlx-2 is primarily localized in the nucleus, where Dlx-2 functions as a transcription factor, influencing gene expression patterns vital for proper tissue morphogenesis and histogenesis. Dlx-2 regulates the development of the orofacial region and contributes to the formation of limb and genital structures. Additionally, Dlx-2 interacts with other proteins, such as bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs), which are essential for signaling pathways that govern cellular differentiation and growth. Precise regulation of Dlx-2 and its interactions are critical for ensuring normal development and preventing congenital anomalies, making anti-Dlx-2 antibody (WQ6) an invaluable tool for researchers studying developmental biology and related fields.

Has this antibody been tested on fetal brain paraffin sections (human or mouse)?

    Asked by: Ayman
Thank you very much for the question! We have not yet tested fetal brain sections with this antibody clone and we currently do not list any corresponding product citation. Our labs performed immunoperoxidase staining of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded human stomach tissue and the antibody was showing a nuclear localization. We suggest using a starting dilution of 1:50 for this technique. If you have any further questions, please contact our Technical Service team. Can sc-81960: Dlx-2 (WQ6) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-81960: Dlx-2 (WQ6) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
