DL-Threonine (DLT) is an indispensable amino acid that holds a pivotal position in various biological processes. It is notably involved in protein synthesis, contributing to the construction of proteins, cellular membranes, and the generation of neurotransmitters. Moreover, DL-Threonine assumes a vital role in regulating metabolic activities. DL-Threonine can be found naturally in an assortment of food sources, including meat, dairy products, eggs, and select plant-based foods. Although the exact mechanism of action of DL-Threonine remains elusive, it is hypothesized to participate in gene expression regulation and the modulation of enzyme activity. DL-Threonine is a racemic mixture of the D and L isomers of the polar essential amino acid threonine.
