DIS3L2 Antibody (6C7B2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects DIS3L2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DIS3L2 (6C7B2) antibody is available as a non-conjugated anti-DIS3L2 monoclonal isotype antibody. DIS3L2 protein, consisting of 885 amino acids, plays a crucial role as an exonuclease within the exosome complex, which is essential for degrading unstable mRNAs containing AU-rich elements in untranslated 3′ regions. This process maintains cellular homeostasis and regulates gene expression by ensuring faulty or unnecessary mRNAs are efficiently removed from cells. Defects or chromosomal translocations involving DIS3L2 gene have been linked to Marfanoid habitus, a genetic disorder manifesting in skeletal, ocular, and cardiovascular abnormalities. DIS3L2 is expressed in five isoforms due to alternative splicing, highlighting regulatory potential in various cellular contexts.
