Diosmin is an anti-inflammatory and a flavonoid glycoside that reduces venous hyperpressure. Diosmin also reduces capillary hyperpermeability and expression of endothelial adhesion molecules (ICAM1, VCAM1). Diosmin effectively inhibits the P-glycoprotein (Pgp)-mediated efflux in cells.
