Dihydroavermectin B1a is a chemical compound that functions as an inhibitor of neurotransmission in nematodes and arthropods. It acts by binding to glutamate-gated chloride channels in the nerve and muscle cells of these organisms, leading to an increase in the permeability of the cell membrane to chloride ions.
