Dihexyl sulfosuccinate sodium salt is used as a surfactant in scientific research. Dihexyl sulfosuccinate sodium salt is used in laboratory experiments to facilitate emulsification and dispersion of substances in aqueous solutions. Dihexyl sulfosuccinate sodium salt functions by decreasing the surface tension of liquids. It achieves this by adsorbing at the liquid-air interface, thereby reducing interfacial tension.
