Dichloro(1,2-diaminocyclohexane)platinum(II) is a platinum preparation that is relevant to biological studies. Dichloro(1,2-diaminocyclohexane)platinum(II) is described to be the parent complex of the Oxaliplatin (sc-202270) antiproliferative compound. One study describes block copolymer micelles prepared with Dichloro(1,2-diaminocyclohexane)platinum(II) that demonstrate release of Dichloro(1,2-diaminocyclohexane)platinum(II) in vivo to produce considerable cytotoxicity against murine colon adenocarcinoma, lower than the activity demonstrated by Oxaliplatin but increasing with exposure time as Dichloro(1,2-diaminocyclohexane)platinum(II) is slowly released by the micelles.
