dHAND Antibody (A-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects dHAND protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-dHAND antibody (A-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. dHAND, also known as HAND2, is a crucial transcription factor that plays a significant role in cardiac development, particularly in establishing left-right asymmetry in the heart. dHAND is predominantly expressed on the right side of the looped heart tube and in the pulmonary ventricle, where dHAND activates the transcription of essential genes such as Ufd1, which is involved in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway, and Cdc45, a key player in DNA replication. Proper functioning of dHAND is vital for the development of the heart′s structure, ensuring correct formation of heart chambers during cardiogenesis. dHAND is expressed in sympathetic neurons and chromaffin cells throughout embryonic and fetal development, highlighting dHAND′s importance in neural crest development. Interaction between dHAND and eHAND (HAND1) further underscores the complexity of cardiac morphogenesis, as these proteins coordinate the development of distinct segments of the heart tube, ultimately leading to the formation of a functional heart.
