QUICK LINKS

Decanoyl-p-nitroanilide is a synthetic fatty acid amide utilized as a probe for activity of FAAH (fatty acid amide hydrolase), the enzyme primarily responsible for degradation of the endocannabinoid Anandamide (sc-200790). FAAH accepts Decanoyl-p-nitroanilide as a substrate and upon amide hydrolysis releases an equivalent of p-nitroaniline which can be assayed at 382 nm (ε = 13500 M-1cm-1) with a UV-Vis spectrophotometer.
