DDX3Y Antibody (B-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DDX3Y protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-DDX3Y antibody (B-4) is available as the non-conjugated form. DDX3Y, a member of the DEAD box protein family, plays a crucial role in RNA metabolism and is essential for normal spermatogenesis, being exclusively expressed in the testis. DDX3Y regulates gene expression during male gamete development, and dysfunction can lead to male infertility. DEAD box proteins, characterized by the conserved Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp motif, are implicated in various cellular processes, including RNA secondary structure modifications and the assembly of ribosomes and spliceosomes. DDX3Y′s paralog, DDX3X, is found on the X chromosome and is involved in broader cellular functions, such as RNA splicing and cell cycle regulation, highlighting the evolutionary divergence and specialization of these proteins. DDX3Y′s unique expression pattern in the testis underscores its importance in male reproductive health, making anti-DDX3Y antibody (B-4) a valuable tool for researchers studying spermatogenesis and related disorders.
