    SEE ALSO...

DCDC2 Antibody (B-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects DCDC2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DCDC2 (B-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DCDC2 gene encodes DCDC2 protein, also known as Doublecortin-containing protein 2, which plays a crucial role in neuronal migration and cerebral cortex development. DCDC2 protein contains two Doublecortin peptide domains, essential for microtubule stabilization and organization during neuronal development. Proper functioning of DCDC2 is vital, as disruptions in expression have been linked to neurodevelopmental disorders, including dyslexia. DCDC2 protein is ubiquitously expressed, while antisense transcript, RU2AS, is associated with various tumors and is restricted to specific normal tissues such as kidney, bladder, liver, and testis. Deduced DCDC2 protein consists of 476 amino acids, whereas RU2AS protein is significantly shorter, containing only 84 residues. Several single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) within DCDC2 gene have been significantly associated with dyslexia, highlighting DCDC2 protein′s importance in both normal cognitive function and disease.
