DAX-1 Antibody (3G8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the DAX-1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-DAX-1 antibody (3G8) is available as a non-conjugated format. DAX-1 protein plays a crucial role in the regulation of adrenal and reproductive development, and dysfunction is linked to adrenal hypoplasia congenita (AHC), a severe X-linked disorder that leads to primary adrenal insufficiency if left untreated. AHC manifests early in infancy and is characterized by dangerously low levels of glucocorticoids, mineralocorticoids, and androgens, along with an inadequate response to adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH).
